A cowl that is extremely stretchy, and very versatile, it can be worn wrapped double around the neck or left loose. With its rhythmic pattern, it is relaxing to knit, and uses under 100g. of dk yarn. The pattern is easy to memorize, and it makes for the perfect tv, social, or traveling project.
Directions come both written and charted. The 10 stitch charted pattern uses only a few basic stitches: a l/c and a r/c create the wheat pattern, separated by a ktb for the raised stems. This is a variation of the classic Barbara Walker pattern, which always reminds me of abundant harvests.
This cowl pattern could easily adjusted for length or width, and also different weights of yarn with adjustment to needles and yardage.
