During World War II, many crocheters and knitters made items for soldiers, including “helmets”. Everyone wanted to do their part, and crafting handmade wearable items was just one way to help the war effort. The Medic Hat is an homage to helmets sent to the front. This super simple pattern uses single crochet, chains, and half double crochet to create an interesting texture suitable for everyone.

Gauge: 5.5 sts/inch in brim pattern using D/3.25mm hook
