This beanie/skull cap design is inspired by the Mediterranean motif pattern in Andrea Rangel’s Alterknit Stitch Dictionary, which is available in bookstores and libraries. With permission from Andrea, the author of the Alterknit Stitch Dictionary, the motif pattern has been incorporated into the pattern. The Mediterranean motif pattern is found on page 28 of the book.

The pattern calls for two skeins of sport weightyarn. The cap requires enough yarn in two colors to create a cap that is approximately 51g with stranded knitting.
