The Meelespea (Estonian for Forget-Me-Not) is a cosy winter accessory, worn as a cowl or a snood. The mosaic pattern was inspired by small blue forget-me-not flowers. It’s interesting to know that similar names for the flowers are found in many languages and used as a symbol of remembrance.

The cowl is knitted in rounds, in mosaic knitting. The width and length can be easily adjusted, working more or fewer repeats/motifs. The sample is ten repeats wide and five repeats high. The gauge is not important for this project but will affect the size of the cowl and the amount of yarn needed.
The pattern uses metric and imperial systems.
The mosaic pattern is charted and written.
The pattern has been tech edited and test knitted.
