This is a very simple pattern and very quick to make.

Stitches used are chains, SC, & DC.

Gauge is not massively important.

The shrug is worked flat from the top down and no sewing up is necessary.

The shrug has a decorative edging made up of SC and chains

Pattern requires only a small amount of DK yarn.
