Ready to wear the biggest scarf and stay mega warm this winter? This checked scarf is fuzzy, cozy, and totally customizable with six different colors of your choosing. You will marl together a thicker yarn with a lace weight yarn to create a wonderful checked scarf.

Yarn Requirements:
Three colors Knit Picks Wonderfluff yarn: 1.5 balls each or approximately 75 grams, 250 yards each.

Three colors Laceweight silk Mohair, one ball each 25 grams, 260 yards each.

Yarn note: Knit Picks Wonderfluff is an extremely lightweight yarn for it’s listed size - although it is listed as a bulky weight yarn it knits up much more like an Aran weight yarn. The yarn construction is a blown tube yarn which also contributes to a much lighter weight end product. Although I always encourage knitters to use whatever yarn you love the most, please keep in mind that the weight, drape, and size will change if you use a true bulky yarn for this project.

For my project I used:
Knit Picks Wonderfluff yarn in: Bare (lightest) Hare Heather (beige) and Finnley heather (grey)

And for Mohair I used:
Knit Picks Aloft Super Kid Mohair in White
Neighborhood Fiber Company Mohair in Charles Village
Sanjo Silk mohair in Maroon

Gauge:
7sts x 9 rows = 2”x2” (5 x 5 cm) square
Each mohair section = 16 sts X 16 rows = 4.8” x 3.5” (12 x 9 cm)

Notions:
tapestry needle, scissors, crochet hook (for adding fringe).
