MEGAN is worked seamlessly from the top down. Initially, increases for the circular yoke are made along 12 stitch markers. Once the yoke is complete, the sleeves are separated, and the lower body is worked straight down. MEGAN features no ribbed cuffs and is knitted entirely in stockinette stitch.

MATERIAL:

Our black MEGAN cardigan is knitted using ICA by LAMANA (100% organic Pima cotton; 80m per 50g), while the grey patterned cardigan is made with Como Grande by LAMANA (100% superfine merino wool; SUPERLIGHT; OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100; approx. 120m per 50g).

BUTTONS:

6 buttons, approximately 1 cm in diameter. Choose buttons that fit the size of the buttonholes, taking the material of the buttons into account. The easiest way to find the right buttons is to take the finished cardigan with you to the button shop.

GAUGE:

17 sts x 25 rows in stockinette stitch using the larger needle size, for a 10 x 10 cm gauge (swatch washed).

NEEDLES:

Circular needles and double-pointed needles (or the “magic loop” method) in sizes 5 mm and 4.5 mm—or whichever needle size is required to achieve the correct gauge.

TOOLS:

12–16 stitch markers, darning needle, leftover yarn or stitch holders for holding stitches.
