This loosely knit garter stitch wrap includes the fringe up the sides as you work!

Shawl is rectangular and measures 60” long x 14” wide.
Wrap shown on the pattern is knit in Opulence, from All for love of yarn, one skein each of two colors.

The gauge is 6sts/6 rows to 1 inch before blocking, then blocked out to approximately 4sts/4rows to 1 inch.

Knit on size US 10 1/2 needles with US F crochet hook to single crochet along bottom edges and add button holes if desired.

Small beads or baubles can be added to the fringe as desired. Because this is knit so loosely it is best to use small beads so that they don’t stretch out the fabric of the wrap. Approx. 300 size 8o beads are used in this sample, 4 beads added to each length of fringe.

Sew buttons on the ends and you can close it up and wear it like a cowl.

9 1/2 inch buttons were added to the bottom of the wrap shown.
