Meja the healer makes a great crochet project for improving beginners as well as seasoned crocheters!

Meja is a healer who lives in a small cottage in the enchanted forest. She spends her time picking mushrooms, berries, and herbs that she uses to make all kinds of remedies for her patients. Her friend Octavia the owl sometimes accompanies her on her early morning walks, before she heads to bed in her favorite tree.
I’m sure they will make a magical addition to your Amigurumi collection.

This pattern has detailed step-by-step instructions that are accompanied with high quality photos of the process.
It includes photo tutorials on how to make a magic ring, invisible decreases in single crochet, color changes in single crochet, and invisible finishes.

The doll is crocheted from top to bottom and there is minimal sewing required.

Materials and tools you need for Meja:

  • Cotton yarn in a DK / light worsted weight in different colors
  • 2.5mm crochet hook / Size B-1 or C-2 depending on how tightly you crochet
  • 7mm safety eyes
  • Fiberfill
  • Stitch markers
  • Yarn needle
  • Scissors
  • Craft wire (at least 1mm diameter)
  • PVC tape (optional)

If using the recommended yarn weight and hook size your doll will be about 14cm / 5.5” tall.
