The Mekong River Mitts is a knitting pattern designed for an advanced beginner knitter. The pattern is designed to showcase my three favorite yarns: Malabrigo Rasta, Baah Sequoia and Malabrigo Mecha. The combinations of STAR and RT stitches help to create a beautiful texture for this pattern.

3 US size 10.5/6.5mm & 3 US size 11/8mm DPNs

Final measurements: 10 inches long and 4 inches wide

Bulky Baah Sequoia:

Approximately 85 yards

3 US size 9/5.5mm & 3 US size 10.5/6.5mm DPNs  

Final measurements: 9.75 inches long and 4 inches wide   

Gauge: 2x2 palm side of mitts 6 sts x 8 rounds

Light Bulky Malabrigo Mecha:

Approximately 130 yards

3 US size 5/3.75mm & 3 US size 7/4.5mm DPNs  

Final measurements: 10 inches long and 3.75 inches wide  

Gauge: 2x2 palm side of mitts 8.5 sts x 12 rounds
