A pretty cloche to make! It’s a simple but very versatile design. Wear brim folded up in several ways of keep it down for different looks.
A special stitch creates two distinctly different sides: one has a smooth knit-like look, the other one is classic nubby crochet. Surprisingly easy to master, this stitch is known as camel stitch, knit-look V-stitch and chain stitch. If you know your half double crochet, you are good to go!

Skill level: beginner to intermediate
Finished dimensions: sized to fit children (head circumference about 20-21 inches)
Yarn: worsted weight yarn, about 3.2 oz
Needles: 5mm crochet hook US H8, or size needed to obtain gauge
Other materials: tapestry needle.
Gauge: 8 st and 6 rows = 2” (hdc ch st)
