Mellow Mood cardigan
Step-by-step video tutorial.
The inspiration for this cardigan truly came from you, my adventurous beginners. Watching the pride you felt when you finished your first Mellow Mood Sweater or Mellow Mood Top, made me want to design the next step for you — a cardigan.
It’s still simple, still stylish, with just a few new techniques. So you can focus on what matters the most: the joy of completing your very first cardigan.
Spoiler alert: this pattern is highly addictive, you might just knit more than one! :)
♥ SKILL LEVEL. Don’t worry if you’re new to garment knitting. All of my patterns are designed with adventurous beginners in mind. As long as you’re comfortable with the knit and purl stitches and have tackled projects like a top or a sweater, you have the skills to create this cardigan.
Plus, I’ve filmed a helpful video tutorial to guide you through each step and boost your confidence!
♥ PATTERN. Instant download PDF file in both cm and inches. Additionally, I’ve prepared a Knitting Project Planner exclusively for the top-down raglan cardigan, including a round counter.
♥ LANGUAGES: Available in English, German, and French.
♥ METHOD: This cardigan is knitted seamlessly from the top down. You begin with the neckband which is worked in two parts from the back of the neck toward each shoulder. Then stitches are picked up along the edge to shape the yoke.
Raglan increases grow the cardigan, and the button bands are worked at the same time.
After the yoke, sleeve stitches are set aside while you knit the body with buttonholes.
The sleeves are then worked in the round from the top down with basic decreases.
This is a unisex design, so you can make one for yourself or as a gift for someone you love.
♥ CUSTOMIZE Your Cardigan: You can make it longer or shorter.

Available in 11 sizes: XXS–XS–S–M–L–XL–2XL–3XL–4XL–5XL–6XL
