Melrakki is the old Norse and Icelandic name of the arctic fox or white fox living in Iceland. Melrakki can be roughly translated to “little dog of the rocks”.

The Melrakki beany is a pawsome and easy stranded colorwork beanie inspired by the Lopapeysa Melrakki:

It is worked in the round from brim to crown and It’s quick to knit.

This pattern includes a description how to make a pom pom .

Gauge: 13 sts and 18 rows = 10 x 10 cm measured over stocking stitch using 6 mm needles.
Check your tension and adjust needle size if necessary.

Yarn: Álafosslopi – 100 g balls
0051 White
1232 Artic Exposure
9959 Indigo

Needles: Circular needle 60 cm 6 mm
double pointed needle 6 mm
