Mel's Handy Market Bag
The pattern can be found under the ‘Free Knitting Patterns’ banner along the top of my blog page. Just hover over the words and a list of free patterns will appear.
Size of the bag will be determined by the yarn you use and whether you’re a tight or loose knitter. Gauge is not really critical. I used 4 x 50g of Ashford Tekapo 8ply for my bag. The pattern can be adapted for any yarn and needle size. It’s also a great stash buster as you can use different coloured yarn for the base, side, brim and handles of the bag. The lime green bag is knitted in two 100g balls of Bernat Cottontots 100% cotton.
