Designed to use exactly one precious skein of luxury cashmere-blend yarn, the Memmi Cowl features an undulating lace stitch pattern that’s easy to execute but looks impressive when blocked.

The following stitches and skills are used to knit this cowl:

  • working in the round
  • knit and purl
  • directional decreases (k2tog and ssk)
  • yarnovers

The cowl is worked entirely in the round, so there’s minimal finishing when the knitting is done. Although the pattern is written for sport weight yarn, it’s easy to adapt to almost any other weight. Instructions are included for changing the finished size of the cowl.

The lace pattern in this cowl is both written and charted.

The colorway used in this pattern, Midnight Pass, is available exclusively at A Good Yarn in Sarasota, Fla.
