My mother bought a skein of this yarn when I was teaching her how to knit. She made a k1, p1 ribbed scarf and I loved the way the scarf turned out so much that I decided I wanted to make a scarf with this yarn too. I wanted to do something a little more complicated than a simple rib so I decided to do a traveling rib. It’s almost as simple as a basic ribbed scarf but the finished product is more dramatic and complicated looking and the variegated yarn creates a beautifully colored scarf.
