This sock design is simple yet refined. The cuff takes inspiration from my favourite ring with its delicate braid, giving the piece a touch of elegance. When worn, the cuff feels almost like jewelry, adding a feminine and graceful detail to an everyday knit.

Construction notes

cuff down with cables (the cuff is worked flat and grafted with kitchener stitch)
stockinette leg
flap and gusset heel with cables
regular toe

Materials

Yarn: The sample is knit in thread weight 100% wool cone yarn 4 strands held together to achieve a light fingering weight.

Needles: 2.5 mm circular needles, US 1.5

Notions: 3 stitch markers, tapestry needle, cable needle

Gauge: 31 sts x 43 rnds in 10 cm stockinette in the round after blocking

This sock pattern is written for multiple sizes based on foot circumference and length. Socks are meant to be worn with negative ease (they should stretch slightly to fit snugly), so the finished sock will be slightly smaller than the actual foot.

Note: The sample is knit in size S and shown on feet that usually wear size M. Due to the tighter gauge and the natural stretch of the fabric, size S provides a close but comfortable fit. If you prefer a less snug sock or have a high instep, consider going up a size or adjusting needle size.

Foot circumference

S - 18 cm/ 7 in
M - 20.5 cm/ 8 in
L - 23 cm/ 9 in
