The master men’s pattern for making stranded sweaters in a generic worsted weight yarn. The sweaters are knit flat in the style of leaflets originally published in the first half of the twentieth century.

Three sizes are offered: 38-40 inches (96.5-101.6 cm), 42-44 inches (106.7-111.8 cm) and 46 inches (116.8 cm). The measurements are for a fairly snug fitting garment. Metric sizing offered by the Ravelry editor.

Yardage and number of colors will vary with the stitch pattern chosen. The yardage shown is for the Brunswick Germantown. The Helars-garn is a cotton alternative.

You will need straight needles in both sizes and double-pointed needles in the smaller size. Stitchholders and a tapestry needle for seaming are also used.
