Merak (Serbian) – the pursuit of small, daily pleasures that all add up to a great sense of happiness and fulfillment.

Finding bliss in daily pleasures is a difficult task, but the Merak Cowl and Hat are a reminder of that; despite their very simple construction and motifs they create something beautiful and elaborate. The hat is worked top to bottom, starting with the crown and finishing with a faux i-cord edging at the end. The cowl sports similar faux i-cord edgings at both ends. Their body is worked fully in single row mosaic crochet, following two charts.
