Make these mitts in worsted to match your Meret Beret (by Woolly Wormhead on Ravelry), or work them in chunky for a heavier mitt. The back of the hand features Meret Lace. The cuffs, palm and thumb are 1 x 1 rib, so these mitts are lovely and snug.

The directions are written in one size, but the ribbing allows this mitt to fit many different hand sizes.

The first three photos show the mitt knitted in Madelinetosh Tosh Vintage, a worsted weight. The other photos show the mitt knit in a chunky weight. If you choose a chunky yarn, you will still knit it to the worsted gauge. That makes the mitt very dense and warm.

The directions are written for knitting in the round on double point needles, and include a chart for the lace, as well as row by row directions.

Thanks to Woolly Wormhead for permission to use the Meret name and lace pattern. In honor of her free beret pattern, these mitts are being offered for free also. Enjoy!
