This is a very easy, yet beautiful balaclava. The name ,,Meri’’ means ,,Sea’’ in Estonian, because it’s warm enough to wear in winter against the sea breeze. The hood is pretty wide, but there is a tie, so it’s adjustable.

It’s knit top down and uses a 4.0mm needle for the hood, a 3.75mm for the ribbing and a 3.5mm for the edge. It’s knit in worsted or a thicker DK weight yarn plus a strand of mohair held together.

It is my first published pattern and has not been tested so if you notice any errors, please let me know and I will correct them. If you run into a problem while knitting you can message me and I will help you out.
