Merilin poncho is a great little capelet/poncho worked seamlessly from the top down. Work from top down and you can adjust the length as you want. The great thing about this pattern is that it’s super easy and pretty much beginner friendly.

Materials:
Circular needles 3.5mm US4/80 cm 32 inches for hem and 4mm US6/60 and 80cm 24 and 32 inches for body and 3mm US2,5/40 cm 16inches for neck.

Held together with: 1 strand Isager Alpaca 1 (100% Alpaca, 400m / 50g (437yds / 1.75oz), Lace) color number 33 Rust: 2 (2) 2 (2) 2 (3) skeins

but you may choose to knit this poncho using only a single strand of DK worsted weight yarn as long as you can meet the correct gauge
