Merlot Cardigan
The Merlot Cardigan is a classic long-sleeved set-in cardigan with a regular fit, worked in rich, sophisticated berry tones. Combining Lamana Premia held double with Filcolana Pernilla creates a beautifully textured, luxurious fabric in deep Black Berry and Boysenberry shades that drapes just right.
This pattern is made with the Dreamknit Design Tool. Knit it exactly as shown or feel free to change the yarn, the design or details to make it your own. The cardigan is worked seamlessly from the top down. You begin by knitting the back piece, before picking up stitches for each shoulder separately and shaping the neckline opening with increases. The front and back pieces are joined under the armhole, and the body is worked back and forth in stockinette. The sleeves are worked top down by picking up stitches around the armhole. The button band and neckline ribbing are worked by picking up stitches along the front edges and the cast-on edge.
