Mermaid Lap Blanket made in two parts: body and tail and then joined. Made with crocodile stitches for the appearance of scales and the tail is ribbed. Adult, teen and child sizes. Due to the nature of the stitch the gauge is not an exact science. Cocoons around feet and ankles and then opens as blanket.

For the tail: It’s up to you for how long you want to make it. I used nearly a full skein of Caron Simply Soft Party (for the sparkle) or Red Heart Shimmer. 60 stitches fhdc (approx. 18”) and went from there.

Sizes & Yardage Needed:
Adult (9 skeins-approx.1872 yds, teen (7 skeins-approx 1456 yds), child (5 skeins- approx. 1040 yds)
