Mermaid Shell Sweater
by Laurie Carle
The sweater is made by making two identical pieces, the front and the back, then sewn together along the sides. The top of the sweater is a modified Shell pattern that has a more open weave then transitions into a traditional Shell pattern until just below the bust. The top fit is loose and flowing with sleeves to the elbows to 3/4 sleeves that has a nice drape. Below the bust is fitted then follows an A line to the waist, which accentuates all the best parts of you. The yarn is amazingly soft without a lot of stretch. This is looks complicated but the stitches and pattern can easily be followed by a beginner. I also provide a video tutorial link to YouTube where I walk you through all the steps.
