The Mermaid Snuggle isn’t just your typical Mermaid Tail Blanket. What makes it unique are its arms. The blanket will open up like a throw until you reach the back of the knee, where it will close up to for the cocoon to place your feet. The Blanket is crocheted as one piece. The arms and fin are added later. You will double up using TWO strands of yarn throughout the piece.
Size
The blanket will measure about 55” wide (until you work the cocoon) and 70” inches long without the fin. The arms are about 12” wide or has a of 24” and are 25” Long from the shoulder to the wrist.
*TIP***
Stitch count is not very important in this pattern. Some crochet with very tight stitches and some with loose stitches. This pattern is user friendly, so if you come up short or have a few too many stitches, do not panic. The easiest way to assure that you are on the right track is to measure. I will leave reminders of this throughout the pattern.
