I looked for a year for a mermaid tail blanket that had an attached tail that I could put my feet into and couldn’t find one! All I wanted was to be able to sit on my couch and flip my fins. But alas. So I made one up!

This pattern is worked top-down, open at first and then closed to work in continuous rounds.

It is made to fit someone as tall as 5 foot 7 but it can be easily adapted to fit a taller person.

Finished blanket (made as is in pattern) measures roughly 55 in long and 45 in wide at its widest point.

I made it using Loops and Threads Impeccable and needed 7 skeins of the variegated and 2 of the blue for the tail. All in all I think I paid $20 to make it!
