This is a mermaid or merman tail cuddle sac, not the usual tight tube type found online. What is the difference between a cuddle sac and the usual mermaid tails found online? It is difficult for a child to get in and out of the mermaid tail patterns I found available, for safety and comfort I felt the pattern needed altered to make it more comfortable in use. Made wider than most patterns found online, this additional circumference helps insure fewer entanglements when the child removes the afghan. The additional width also accommodates a more robust child.
