2 skeins of MC and 1 skein of CC1 and CC2 will make one hat and the mittens.

Suggested yarn:

Sweet Georgia Yarns Superwash DK (256yd/234m per 4oz/115g skein; 100% Superwash Merino wool)
2 skeins in Nightshade (MC)
1 skein each in Oxblood (CC1), and Birch (CC2).

Needles:

Sizes 4US/3.5mm:

  • needles in preferred style for small circumference knitting in the round
  • circular needle 16”/40cm long

Size 5US/3.75mm:

  • needles in preferred style for small circumference knitting in the round
  • circular needle 16”/40cm long Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge

gauge:

22 sts and 30 rows = 4”/10cm in Stockinette stitch, using larger needles
29 sts and 32 rows = 4”/10 cm Chart A, using larger needles
26 sts and 28 rows = 4”/10cm in Chart B, using larger needles
