t’s not really your fault if you are born with a heart that is two sizes too small, now is it? The Poor Grinch, he just could not stand Christmas, now could he? But brave little Cindy Lou Whoo, despite all the warnings and despite all the facts to the contrary, she was determined to help the Grinch find a way to enjoy Christmas. Who knew that his heart simply needed to grow?

No villains collection can be complete without the Grinch, now could it? I love how this story reminds us that we have to look beyond the surface and get to the root of the problem- the HEART. Once the Grinch’s heart is changed, his story is changed, and he really isn’t a villain after all. He’s just simply living the only way he knows how with what he has been given.
Do we need to be more like Cindy Lou Whoo and perhaps be devoted to finding a way to bring joy into someone’s life, particularly someone that everyone else has written of as a hopeless case?

This shawl is part of my Villains?!? Collection in collaboration with Malabrigo Yarn. If you are interested you can buy the entire ebook here.
