MATERIALS NEEDED:

Yarn -
I used Hayfield Bonus Aran with Wool for both colours. I find this is a great thick aran weight yarn, and the 20% wool content adds good stiffness and texture, perfect for this type of project.
Yarn choice is very important for this project. See ‘A note on Yarn Choice’ in the pattern for more information on yarn substitutions.

COLOUR 1: Approx. 120g aran/heavier worsted weight yarn. (WHITE on my work.) Equivalent to approx. 252m/276yds.

COLOUR 2: Approx. 120g aran/heavier worsted weight yarn. (BLACK on my work.) Equivalent to approx. 252m/276yds.

Required hooks - 5.5mm and 5mm hooks
Yarn needle
Locking stitch markers (at least two)
Flexible measuring tape
Wire cutters/pliers
6ft/180cm of 1.5mm (16 gauge) crafters/florist wire
