Chunky yarn # 5 and 8 mm crochet hook - USA L / 11 - Britain 0. Written in English using standard American terms. Color coded step by step instructions with lots of photos for guidance. Hat is worked from the bottom up and includes 2 ways to create a stretchy foundation chain, one developed by me, Meadowvale Studio which is super easy.

This pattern can be used to create a Knit Look Headband, the Bun Hat and a Regular closed crown hat. Instructions include the option of how to use an elastic hair band and an option for an extended opening to funnel hair through which also helps to keep hair up. Sort of like a built in Scrunchie.
