Metamorphosis is a versatile accessory as it can be worn as a scarf or the ends can be seamed together to create a cowl. It is knit flat using only knit stitch variations and yarn overs to create alternating garter stitch and easy lace sections. It is pictured as a multi-season cowl. Wrapped once, it is the perfect airy spring/summer accessory. Wrapped twice, it is transformed into a cozy fall/winter accessory. Metamorphosis was designed for the May 2019 Yarn Crush subscription box.

Finished Measurements 53.5” (136 cm) long 4.25” (10.75 cm) garter sections and 16” (40.5 cm) unstretched lace sections x 8.5” (21.5 cm) wide, unblocked and not seamed together.

Blocking can greatly change the measurements as this lace pattern is very stretchy. I have given the unblocked measurements and gauge so that you can block to your desired size. The blocked sample measurements are: 78” (198 cm) long (before seaming) 5” (12.75 cm) garter sections and 21” (53.25 cm) lace sections x 8” (20.25 cm) wide
