This simple, modern bonnet is a perfect last-minute gift and a great way to use up a partial skein. The 3-6 month size uses approximately 65 yards of yarn, leaving you plenty left over for an adult hat or several bonnets. Scout was chosen for the combination of soft hand, perfect for sensitive baby skin, and rustic appearance. Any worsted/heavy DK yarn of the same gauge can be substituted.

This bonnet is worked flat, from the brow to the neck, using short rows to create the shaping, similar the the short row heel of a sock.
