Metatassels can be worn as a wrap around the shoulders or like a scarf. The shawl is knitted from one point to the other, and it’s easier than it looks! Use a single contrast colour or vary the colour of the stripes to fit your personality. A little variation to the stripes is brought by elongated stitches creating ‘knuckles’ on the stripes.’

Main colour (MC): 800-850 m Olann Sock Lite in Hot Dame, 425m/100g.
Contrast colour (CC): 135 m Skein Queen Crush in Vegas Baby, 425m/100g. You can use different colours for each stripe, or same colour the whole way as in the sample.
Yarn tassels: approx. 12 grams of contrast colour
Needle: 3.75 mm (US6)
Blocked gauge: 22 sts/ 10cm (not crucial to match exactly, but size and yarn requirements may differ with a different gauge)
Blocked size: 184 cm long (point to point), 45 cm wide
