Another fun and enjoyable blanket pattern, for knitters who enjoy simple knits and purls, with impressive results!

This pattern combines horizontal panels of several simple and fun textured stitches - including a garter rib, diagonal rib, and double moss stitch. Garter stitch edging is knit along with the blanket, so no finishing required ( other than weaving in your ends, and blocking ).

Pattern has been revised (1/11/16) to include instructions for an additional ( larger ) size blanket.
Small size (21” x 28”) is a great size for newborn, carseat or stroller use.
Medium size (30” x 38”) is great for the growing baby / toddler, who wants to be wrapped up in something warm and cozy.
Large size (40” x 50”) is for the grownup who wants to be wrapped up in something warm and cozy, too!
Materials: Size 10.5 circular needles, 24” - 32”.
400 - 1200 yds chunky weight yarn.
Small size used 3 skeins of Berroco Vintage Chunky yarn, Medium size used 6 skeins of Berroco Vintage Chunky yarn, and Large size used 9 skeins of Berroco Vintage Chunky yarn.

Recommended Gauge: 3.5 stitches = 1” in stockinette stitch.
Although the blanket is knit in textured stitches, gauge is knit in stockinette stitch, for ease in determining appropriate sized needles.
Change needle size as necessary, to achieve correct gauge and/or a fabric that you like. Since this is a blanket, exact gauge is not critical. It will, however, affect the finished size and amount of yarn used.

Enjoy knitting this pattern, and please post photos of your finished blankets!
