Michigan Snow Dance Socks
My friend asked me to knit her a pair of #hengiesnowdance socks. She was a teacher and every time a snowstorm was to hit, she would do a crazy dance to bring heavy snow to cause a snow day. “Just add snowflakes and snowmen, whatever is easy”. That same week my friend retired from teaching. I stalked her Facebook to find all the things that were important to her and found her love for all things Michigan. These socks are very personalized and I was amazed by the outpouring on Facebook groups of people who were interested in the pattern.
Please take what you want from the graphs and create your own snow dance.
These socks are knit toe up, utilizing the magic loop technique. Charts can be easily flipped for cuff down knitting.
It is best to use the same type / quality of yarn for both colors to minimize image distortion.
It is assumed knitter has experience with color work as well an understanding of sock construction. Knitter is encouraged to use their favorite knitting method, toe and heel. Heel directions are not provided. Link has been added for fish lips kiss heel available on Ravelry for $1. Again, knitter is encouraged to use their favorite heel.
Pattern should be printed using the landscape page orientation setting.
The awesome nature pictures by the bridge and ice were taken by and rights belong to Shannon - Thank you for letting me share them! www.muddywatersnaturephotography.com
