Midge is a crescent shawl worked from the top down in two colors. It begins with a simple stockinette stitch, flows into a textured lace section, and ends with a lace border. It can be worked in two colors, as shown in both of the samples, but I feel it would also be quite beautiful knit up in a single colorway.

Needle: US6 (4.00mm) or size to obtain blocked gauge, 40” circular needle.

Gauge: 19 stitches / 27 rows = 4” in stockinette, blocked.

Finished Size: Depth at center 18”, inside curve 53”, outside curve 83”, blocked

Stitches Used: CC-contrast color, MC-main color, K-knit, P-purl, K2tog-knit 2 together, SSK-slip, slip, knit, K1fb-knit one stitch front/back, YO-yarn over, PM-place marker, SM-slip marker, RM-remove marker
