Gauge: 21 sts & 32 rows = 10cm / 4” over St st on 4mm needles after blocking.
21 sts & 30 rows = 10cm / 4” over intarsia/stranded colourwork pattern on 4mm needles after blocking.
Note: To check colourwork gauge, work in St st, alternating yarns A and B on every stitch. If you are unable to achieve plain St st and colourwork gauges using the same needle size, change needles as necessary when working areas featuring large sections of colourwork, particularly the sleeves.
It is important to match row gauge for this pattern.

Needles: 4mm / US 6 circular needles, 80cm / 32” length
3.5mm / US 4 circular needles, 80cm / 32” length AND needles suitable for working small circumferences in the round
Always use a needle that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.

Notions: 2 locking stitch markers (you may
find additional markers helpful for keeping track of your place in the large charts), scrap yarn or stitch holders, tapestry needle

Notes: Midnight Garden is knitted from the bottom up, in pieces, with set-in sleeves. Large floral motifs are worked in stranded/intarsia colourwork on the front, back and sleeves, and embellished with optional embroidery during finishing. The collar is picked up around the neckline at the end and worked in the round.

Note: Charts are only shown in print for size 3 (sample size modelled).
Ensure you are working from the correct charts for your size. Charts for all sizes are available in a larger format with the digital version (download code included with print edition).
