Midnight Melody is a relaxed, seamless top-down sweater with plenty of room for individual adjustments.

The sweater is worked from the top down, allowing you to customize the body and sleeve lengths. Choose between two neckline finishes: a folded double neckband or a classic ribbed neckline.

The pattern includes two gauge options, giving you flexibility in your yarn choice and the finished sweater measurements.

Sizes and finished bust measurements

Gauge option 1:

16 sts x 22 rounds = 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4”) in stockinette stitch, using 5.5 mm needles.

Choosing your size

Measure your actual bust circumference and choose your preferred gauge option. Then select the size that gives you approximately 10–20 cm (4–8”) of positive ease.

For example, if your bust measures 100 cm (39.4”), choose a finished bust circumference of approximately 110–120 cm (43.3–47.2”).

Yarn

Suitable yarns are DK, Worsted or Aran weight, depending on the gauge achieved.

Yarn used for the black and grey version:

• Austermann Merino 105
• Rico Design Essentials (for the black stripes)
• Mohair 50 by Stefiswolle (for the grey stripes)

Gauge: 16 sts x 22 rounds.

Yarn used for the berry-coloured version:
- DROPS Air, colours 59 and 31

Gauge: 18 sts x 24 rounds.

Yarn quantities are estimates and depend on the chosen size and body length.
