One, two, or three strands of mohair held together allow you to customize the sheerness of this gauzy, ethereal cropped turtleneck with gathered sides, inspired by Taylor Swift’s “Lavender Haze.”

Note on yarn choices:
This sweater can be knit with one, two, or three strands of mohair/silk yarn to create the desired level of sheerness. One strand will produce a very sheer, mesh-like fabric. Two strands will create a gauzy, semi-sheer fabric. Three strands will create a virtually opaque fabric with a substantial halo and silky sheen. Adjust the needle size to achieve the correct gauge. In my hands, a single strand required size 9 needles to achieve gauge, two strands required size 7, and three strands size 6.

You will also need ~36”/90cm length of ribbon, or desired cording, for side drawstrings. You could also create i-cord for the drawstrings out of the working yarn(s) for this purpose.
