Midsummer Marigold Socks are cheerful fingering weight stranded colorwork socks featuring bold Nordic-inspired floral motifs, graphic borders, and a sweet little marigold hidden on the sole.

The sample uses Wollmeise Twin in Orchidee and Limone, creating a bright purple-and-lemon color story that makes the marigold design glow. Choose two high-contrast colors for the best effect — classic purple and yellow, warm orange and gold, navy and cream, garden greens, or any combination that feels sunny, bold, and a little bit dramatic.

This pattern includes written instructions, colorwork charts, 72-stitch and 80-stitch chart options, heel placement guidance, foot length markers, toe instructions, chart-page colorwork tips, and a visual short-row heel tutorial. The design is written for Magic Loop but may be adapted for DPNs.

The sample features a twisted rib cuff, all-over floral colorwork, short-row heel, colorwork foot, contrast heel/toe/cuff, and a surprise marigold motif on the sole. An optional reinforced slip-stitch heel and toe may be used for added durability.
