Milay Sweater is a top-down seamless yoke sweater. It has short rows at the back of the neck, and textured patterns around the yoke using a combination of knit, purl, slip and cable stitches. There is optional waist and hip shaping to add feminine shape, and the bottom hem is finished off with slip and seed stitches.

Suggested Needles
A: 4.5 mm (US 7) circular needles 40 cm / 16” long for neckline and cuff ribbing (using magic loop), and 80 cm / 32” circular needles for hem ribbing.
B: 5mm (US 8) circular needles 40 cm / 16” long for yoke, and circular needles 80cm / 32” long for the yoke, body and sleeves (using magic loop, or substitute with dpn’s if preferred).
C: 6mm (US 10) circular needles 80cm / 32” long for cable work.
D: 4mm (US 6) circular needles 80 cm / 32” for hem and cuff (using magic loop).
Adjust the needle size if necessary to get the correct gauge.

Gauge
16 stitches & 22 rows = 10cm / 4” in stockinette stitch with needle size B, knitted in the round, after blocking.

Ease
Recommended ease: 5-15cm / 2-6” positive ease.
Choose a size that is 5-15cm / 2-6” larger than your actual bust circumference.
Neck ease: 2.5cm / 1”
