The Miles shawl is a cozy triangular wrap knitted from the top down using two strands of yarn held together—a fingering-weight merino and a lace-weight mohair-silk blend. This combination creates a finish that is lightweight, warm, and incredibly soft, thanks to the alternating tuck stitch used throughout. It comes in two sizes: a small version (bandana-style) to tie around the neck, and a large version (full shawl). Shawls have been making a major comeback over the past season; they are worn the classic way over the shoulders, layered over a sweater—or even a jacket or coat—tied around the waist, or, of course, wrapped around the neck. Whether small or large, we want both—and in plenty of different colors of course!

Sizes: small – large

• 1 – 3 skeins of Knitting for Olive Merino, or any fingering yarn.
• 2 – 4 skeins of Sandnes Garn Tynn silk mohair, or any lace yarn.
Approximately for each yarn: 250 – 750 meters / 273 – 820 yards
• Needles: 4,5 mm / US 7 needles (80 cm length), 4 markers, tapestry needle, scissors.

Gauge: 18 sts and 36 rows = 10 cm / 4 inches in alternating tuck stitch worked flat with both yarns held together.

Dimensions:
A – Total height: 40 – 68 cm / 15 ¾ - 26 ¾ inches.
B – Long side up: 94 – 150 cm / 37 – 59 inches.

Le châle Miles est un châle doudou triangulaire tricoté du haut vers la pointe avec deux fils tenus ensemble, un fil merino fingering et un fil mohair et soie lace, pour un rendu léger, chaud et surtout très moelleux grâce au point en relief utilisé sur la totalité du tricot. Il est proposé en deux tailles, petite, pour une version format bandana à porter noué autour du cou, et grande, pour une version châle. On voit que les châles font leur grand retour depuis une ou deux saison, portés à l’ancienne sur les épaules, sur un pull voire sur une veste ou un manteau, autour de la taille, ou, bien sûr autour du cou. Bref, petit ou grand, on veut les deux, et dans plein de couleurs différentes s’il vous plaît !

Matériel :
• 1 – 3 pelotes de Merino Knitting for Olive ou tout autre fil d’épaisseur fingering.
• 2 – 4 pelotes de Tynn silk mohair Sandnes Garn ou tout autre fil d’épaisseur lace.
Métrage équivalent pour chacun des fils : 250 – 750 mètres.
• Aiguilles circulaires n°4,5 (80 cm recommandés), 4 anneaux marqueurs, aiguille à laine, ciseaux.

Échantillon : réalisé au point en relief avec les deux fils tenus ensemble et les aiguilles n°4,5 : 18 mailles x 36 rangs pour un carré de 10 cm de côté.
