Color 1 (Known as Color A in pattern) and 5 (Known as Color B in pattern)

  • US Size 10 ½ (6.5mm) 32” (81.28 cm) circular knitting needle
  • tapestry needle

Gauge
12 sts, 16 rows = 4” (10cm) in stockinette stitch on US Size 10 ½ (6.5mm) knitting needle after blocking.
Each entrelac square should measure 3 ½” across on US Size
10 ½ (6.5mm) knitting needle after blocking.
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge. See Designer note about gauge.

Designer note about gauge… since entrelac is worked on a slant in blocks, you’ll want to measure a gauge swatch in blocks rather than stitches and rows. This can easily be done by casting on 12 stitches with US Size 10 ½ (6.5mm) needle. Work Starting Triangles, Left Side Triangle and then Right Slanting Diamonds. You may remove the work from your needle, block your swatch, and then measure. Adjust the needle size as necessary to obtain gauge. You can then rip out your swatch as needed and reknit with the yarn.
