A great way to play with color and look like you’ve got lots of stranded knitting going on without all that stranding. Both vests use the same slip stitch pattern with two yarns in painted or self-striping colors. The length of the color sequence in each yarn is very different, with very different results. And even though both yarns are classified as the same yarn weight and use the same size needles, the gauge and resulting measurements are different, too. A good study in how yarns may not always be perfectly substitutable even when labeled the same weight.
The body of each vest is worked back and forth in one piece to the armholes, when the fronts and backs are divided.
