Milton Shawl was born on a movie set - literally! While working as an extra in the Hershey film, which was shot in Pittsburgh this summer, I filled the long hours on set with my needles and yarn. The result was Milton; a shawl that’s comfy, eye-catching, and hard to knit just one!

Featuring an easy-to-memorize stitch pattern paired with engaging stripes, Milton Shawl is the kind of project that keeps you reaching for “just one more row.” Knit in The Plucky Knitter’s newest base, Pippi Worsted! This Brushed Merino yarn combines incredible softness with rich, textural depth. The fabric this yarn creates is so cozy and luscious! I chose autumnal hues inspired by one of my scenes in Hershey, but the design is endlessly versatile - pick your favorite two-color combo or rep your team’s colors for the perfect game-day knit.

CONSTRUCTION
Milton is a triangular shawl with stripes and a simple textured lace stitch pattern. Shawl is CO and worked flat from the top down. It’s shaped through increases which occur at the shawl edges and in the center on all RS rows.
