This sweet little cardigan is a perfect cover up for little ones from newborn size through to two years of age.

Worked in one piece from the neck downwards, the simple rib at the sleeve cuffs makes for a good fit and avoids the need for sleeve shaping and bulky seams, whilst at the same time maintaining a good fit and zero excess fabric to get in the way of baby antics!

With two new grandchildren arriving just two days apart, this design was created through necessity! The smallest size can be knitted from 50g of DK weight yarn and takes no more than a few hours of knitting. With just the cast-on and cast-off ends to sew in, I’ve been happily churning out what I would describe as heartwarmers for the new arrivals - I can’t think of a nicer way to celebrate the new family additions!!
