a beginner friendly guide to knitting a chicken from minecraft! this pattern is worked flat (with decreases/increases only on knit rows!), then seamed together. images are also included for steps in construction.

skill level: intermediate. if there’s anything i can add to this pattern to make it more beginner friendly, please let me know!

all the stitches this pattern asks for (with links to tutorials for anything specified):

• knit
• purl
• cast on increase (at the start and end of knit rows)
• cast off decrease
• i-cord

what you need for this project: white yarn, yellow yarn (light and dark shade), black yarn, red yarn, some manner of stitch holder, straight knitting needles, a sewing/darning needle, a considerable amount of stuffing.
