The MINELLY hat pattern is best understood as a beginner‑friendly, brioche‑inspired knit that uses simple stitch combinations to create a warm, stretchy, textured fabric.
It’s a knit-purl combination that creates slanting columns almost like a brioche pattern, to create a fabric that mimic brioche’s signature depth and squish without requiring full brioche techniques. You don´t need to be an expert in brioche knitting, the pattern is rather fun and easy to knit. The pattern is easy enough for beginners and young knitters. Use a couple of favorite colors together to make it your very personal beanie or go for a monochrome version.
The pattern is worked in the round from the bottom up. Crown decreases are worked in pattern to maintain texture. Directions are given for one size, only by changing needle size and gauge you can knit a smaller or larger size.
